VPNs for ad-blocking Nearly a year since pre-orders first opened up (and sold out in record time), it’s still near-impossible to get your hands on a PlayStation 5 (PS5) without overpaying some schmuck on eBay. But if you’re a Vodafone NBN or Vodafone Mobile customer, your chances of nabbing a new PS5 have just increased. A customer service representative told Reviews.org over the phone that Vodafone would be receiving a new shipment of PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition this week from the 18th of August. When asked for comment, Vodafone Australia could not tell us how many consoles it has in stock or how long customers will need to wait. Though the representative did confirm via email that Vodafone is indeed ranging the PlayStation 5 at the moment: “Vodafone is currently ranging the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition. These are live and currently taking orders and will be fulfilled within the wait times quoted at the time of ordering.” Complicating things even further, the Vodafone PS5 deal isn’t available to any old customer. You need to have a Vodafone NBN or 4G Wireless home internet plan and an eligible Vodafone mobile plan ($30 per month or above) in order to secure a PS5 console. Once you’ve satisfied that criteria, the standard PS5 console will cost you an additional $20.83 per month over 36 months (costing $749.88 in total) and the PS5 Digital Edition will cost you $16.67 per month over 36 months ($600.12 in total). You can also bundle a few accessories, like DualSense Charging Station or PS5 Media Remote for $1.38 per month each ($49.68 total) or an additional DualSense Controller, available in Black or White for $3.05 per month ($109.80 total) and Cosmic Red for $3.33 per month ($119.88 total). Existing Vodafone customers looking to place an order need to call 1300 728 637 to request a PS5 console. New customers will need to sign up for one Vodafone internet plan (NBN or 4G Home Wireless) and a mobile plan above $30 per month before they can place an order for a PS5. Here’s a list of eligible mobile plans:
