To view the received mail, execute the mail command. In the example below, 1 unread email (1 message 1 unread) has arrived. Now you won’t see the “You have mail” message when you launch Terminal on your Mac. Read mail is saved in ~/mbox (/Users/username/mbox), so if you want to read it again, please refer to here.
