The Good
The app is available offline if you download the respective maps beforehand. This makes the best offline map app for Android. The download is amazingly fast and in no time you will have full unrestricted access to some of the advanced features every seen in a GPS navigation app for Android. The app is responsive and highly accurate.
The Bad
Well the features are amazing but having to pay a premium price to obtain them is a little jarring. I’ll be honest with you; I ride a bike and don’t have the need for a dedicated GPS Navigation app on my phone. The version I tested was paid by my dad who drives a car. I rarely take out my personal car and to be honest GPS Navigation & Maps by Sygic are beyond my monetary reach. This is the only bad thing about the app.
The Bottom Line
If you travel a lot and require the need of an amazing navigation app, the GPS Navigation & Maps by Sygic is made just for you. But if you rarely go out or deviate from the beaten paths, this app and its ticket for entry might be a little too much to bear. It’s not that the premium price is too much, if you use the app daily it is an incredible bargain. But if you occasionally need assistance, then this investment should be made after ample thought.

After you install the GPS Navigation & Maps by Sygic on your Android device, it will actually take care of everything. The app requires minimal input from you and in no time you will be using the app as your daily driver. The initial interface will take you to a signup screen which amazingly is optional. The app doesn’t even bug you by asking you to login each and every time which is an amazing thing in my book.
Usage and help – 4 out of 5 Stars
The app knows that you are a first time user and will need proper guidance. They present you with proper instructions which are easy to remember. The instructions range from navigating the app to actual navigation. I recommend that you go through them at least once to know what the app is capable of doing.
The app works really well on both smartphones and tablets and I didn’t once face any kind of problem. There was no lag, there were no forced exits and there were no bugs to be found what so ever. The app provides a smooth experience which is also highly reliable. The app worked fine on 3G and 4G LTE.

The downloadable maps are a joy to look at and thanks to the app’s ability to be available offline; they are a joy to operate too. I always say, if an app can support Pakistani maps fully, well it can support everything else. My cousin in USA is also a huge fan of the app and for good reason too.
The interface is pretty much standard but switching from 2D to 3D modes is instantaneous. This is a surprisingly helpful feature which really helps in navigation. The interface is well designed with no un-ironed quirks to hinder your experience. It is also amazingly simple to avoid any confusion.

The navigation is an amazing experience on the GPS Navigation & Maps by Sygic app. The app knows when to say and what to say and it is a pure joy to use. This offline navigation app for Android allows you to use the full voice functionality even when you are offline, making this an almost must have for serious travelers.
I have used the app on my bike one or two times and it has worked flawlessly. I combine a smartphone with a hands free attached to receive voice instructions in my helmet. I don’t even look at the screen. Found a couple of neat shortcuts to my work by using this great app and I’m sure you will be able to do so as well.
The Permissions –3 out of 5 Stars
The app wants to know your location, which is good because it is a GPS navigation app. So this point goes into the app’s favor. But the app also wants the list of your contacts, their names, phone numbers and emails. This is not necessary at all.
