As someone who has seen multiple crops being planted and farmed, I have intimate knowledge of how farming works. I have seen the industrial revolution sweep away the fields and bring in faster and powerful machines to do the hard work. The best farm simulators for Android capture that experience really well: running a harvester through the field is extremely soothing and relaxing. Note: The best farm simulators for Android were tested on a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone. They are in no way close to reality but they do provide a somewhat realistic farming experience. I tested around 15 farming games and most of them had bad performance issues, the ones on this list are relatively good but they are not flawless.
1. Farming Simulator 14
Last Harvest
I’m severely disappointed with Google’s lack of quality control when it comes to asset flip games on their Google Play Store. Researching for this article was a real nightmare simply because there are a lot of copycats simply switching the names and icons and using store-bought assets in their games. The graphics are a little outdated but they still look remarkably good. I really like the way how the textures look on this game and the general polish the developers have applied on the presentation. The crops themselves also look good but it’s not dynamic or physics based. However, that’s to be expected on a mobile game. The gameplay is the standard affair with multiple ways to control your farming vehicles. I usually opt for a tilt based turning system while relying on on-screen controls for breaking and other functions. Farming Simulator 14 is without a doubt one of the best farm simulators for Android available today. Free Version
2. Farmer Sim 2018
If you prefer graphics but are also willing to sacrifice on smooth gameplay, get this version otherwise, stick with the 2015 one. The gameplay has evolved a little bit but not drastically, so you’ll be right at home if you’ve played any of the previous games in the series. I was really impressed with the level of detail shown on vehicle models, it is beyond anything I’ve ever seen on a mobile farming game. Free Version This is a dire situation where the real talent and experiences are buried beneath piles and piles of useless Unity based games with the exact same models and textures. I tested around 15 apps for this article and only found four that are worthy to be included on the best farm simulators Android list. Even the apps included on the list have an abundance of annoyingly intrusive adverts. But don’t worry! I’ll be keeping an eye on quality farming simulators and add more games to the list. What are your thoughts about farming simulators for Android? Have you played an amazing simulator that deserves to be on this list? If yes, feel free to drop a comment below and we’ll love to check it out as well. Feature Image Credits
