Apple TV (4th generation) connection and initial setup

Plug the “power cable” and “HDMI cable” into the Apple TV.

  • HDMI cable is not included with Apple TV. Prepare separately.
  • When using Apple TV with a wired LAN, plug the LAN cable into the Ethernet port.

If you have an iOS device such as iPhone or iPad, select “Set up on device”. It will make the setup easier. On your iOS device such as iPhone or iPad, do the following:

  • Here, the settings are made using an iPhone. Your Apple TV’s Wi-Fi network will be set up automatically. You will be prompted to enter your Apple ID and password on your iPhone.
